Yes, it is still important - but it won't be for all the marbles - control of the Senate.

I would assume that McCarthy will get rid of it. If not, he'll be the biggest hypocrite in the world, since he appealed that case multiple times in the courts and lost

I will politely disagree with the assessment that if the Dems win the Senate seats in Nevada and Arizona, the runoff between Walker and Warnock in Georgia won’t matter. Warnock securing a full term would defang Joe Manchin. I’d stand in the pouring rain outside a polling place in Dec for hours to help make that happen.

The Georgia runoff would not technically matter if one side takes both NV & AZ, but on a practical level it would still be huge. That extra vote would end the ability of a lone senator to hold the others hostage to their demands.

Assuming there IS a new majority, the notion that it is supposed to just allow the Pelosi appointed staff to continue to run the place isn't exactly what one normally thinks of when we talk about protecting Democracy. Remote voting should have ended a year ago.

I'm curious. McCarthy wants the public galleries to reopen. That's fine. But is there any talk about what he'll do with remote voting? Republicans bitched about that, although they used it often. Lol.
