Normally, the U.S. Capitol is quiet the day after Christmas. But not in 1941. 19 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor - ‘a date which will live in infamy,’ as President Roosevelt told the nation - lawmakers gathered to hear from the British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, who had come to Washington for war planning. Few lawmakers were in town, so the speech was not held in the House Chamber as is normal for foreign leaders.

Stop the WSB commentary about Jamie .It steps over Churchill's speech.
Glad to hear 2.0 again!
Thanks for posting this and reminding us that there have been hard times before and we survived as we will now. Thanks Jamie.
