I don’t know where you all get your info from, but Harris is a communist. Know how I know? Because he said so:
“Comrade Kamala Harris is terrible for our Country. She is a Communist, has always been a Communist, and will always be a Communist.”
See? There’s the proof. And that’s pretty bad, to be THAT level of communist. “Always will be a Communist” is the worst kind of communist. And that’s just a fact.
Well to be fair this is my first stop for politcal news daily but I know this will be a great way to get an overview by what's happening on the ground. :)
I used to follow him there, but I had to close my account when it became "X". It just became too "trolly" over there.
Also, I just could not allow myself to support the new owners latest narcissistic project. What he has did to Twitter after he took over has only proved that his motivations had little to do with his belief in free thought/speech and more about his ego. So many people had to flee to other platforms because of his shadow banning, it’s really sad that they had to risk losing audiences that they had built over years because of his temper tantrums.
I prepared to leave as well, but after fifteen years I had too many contacts to just quit. I have a Mastadon account which is much more user-friendly and has a 500-character post, but I find myself surfing the old place anyway.
I learned years ago to ignore the crazy stuff and stick with journalists and other (more balanced) aggregators, all of whom still use that site even if it means chopping up otherwise long-form messages into "threads".
Now is a good time to review the history of voting rights for women. Women were not allowed to vote in much of the country until the Nineteenth Amendment was finally ratified by Tennessee in 1920.
I work in Asheboro, NC. I find it amusing that Trump will be stopping there. It's a small city in a very red county. I can't help but think of Rudy Giuliani's press conference at Four Seasons Total Landscaping. Maybe he is hoping to fill the parking lot at the Aviation museum.
It’ll be interesting to see if there is a convention bounce or if Harris-Walz have already gotten the bounce and just hold onto the momentum.
Trump has been really good at giving his opponents a nickname, but it hasn’t landed on them , yet. Curious if she’s been able to divert them by not engaging him or if he’s finally slipping.
Jamie- that’s quite a trick the Democrats pulled yesterday in Aliquippa, since Franco Harris died nearly two years ago. They might have risen from the dead with their new nominee but I didn’t know they could take it to that extreme.

Looking forward to your newsletters this week!

Jamie's X account (https://x.com/jamiedupree) also has timely information when he has time to post it.

I do understand.

Welcome to my city!
Love this place. Except the weather. I lived here for 4 years as a kid, 1st-4th grade
Thank you for the terrific insights from Chicago AND the info on the film “Medium Cool.” I’ve never seen it but just ordered a copy.
It's not the best movie ever, but I was always fascinated by how those scenes were shot during the actual protests.
I’ve never heard of it but I just put it on my list.
I look forward to this week!
I expect all of us will remember this day.

Thanks for that link. Yay, Judge Luttig!

Yeah it's my mistake. His son was there. I got mixed up with all the Harris references.
Pittsburg Post Gazette has a pretty good play by play of the visit/bus tour.
Hi Peter. My mistake. It was a son of Harris. Thanks!
