What matters came after the speech

I really think one of the most important parts of the State of the Union for President Biden is what happens *AFTER* his speech is over. This year, it took the President over 30 minutes to shake hands and chat with lawmakers before he made his way off the House floor.

Part of this was congratulating the President - and the excitement of the moment for Democrats. But it’s also about relationships - and getting things done.
