There was something about a $25,000 bribe Bondi took that let the convict-elect get away with some crime, but it’s just one of ten thousand disgusting things the republicans have done.

But at least every unaccompanied little girl in a congressional bathroom will be safe.

I think the race is on to see who gets tired of the other first - trump or musk.

I’d say Musk getting tired of Trump. I’m picturing the moment in the office when Charles realizes Dwight is a total moron after thinking he was great.

Thinking of Nancy Mace advertising her victim-hood like a medal of honor I'm reminded that Gabby Giffords and Malala Yousafzai -- like Sarah McBride, Incidentally -- simply stay on task and rarely mention what happened to them.

“All single-sex facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings – such as restrooms, changing rooms, and locker rooms – are reserved for individuals of that biological sex,”

just wonder if gay folks are considered "individuals of that biological sex,” by these these hysterical republicans? think about what might be next.

An Open Letter to Pam Bondi: Trump’s Nominee for Attorney General

I assume the conversation with Gaetz went as follows. If you try to go through with this we will ask that the ethics report be given to us and the public will find out what it says. Or you can withdraw.

Why the reference to a high school student procrastinating on college applications? Do you happen to have one at home? 🤣

If you can, and wish to, please also mention the bills to repeal the Social Security WEP provision and the other Soc Sec penalty bill. Thanks.

What trauma did Mace have a year ago that gave her PTSD?

Thank you for this question. After looking at the Wikipedia link about her I find she is not as much of an extremist as I imagined when I posted an earlier reference to her a short time ago,

"In a speech on the state house floor, Mace revealed that she had been raped at age 16. She has said she opposes abortion but does not believe the government has the right to deny the procedure to a victim of rape or incest."

I feel she is truly a victim of sexual assault, and she’s been triggered probably by her own peers that have been manipulating a lot of conservative folks to believe it’s a “trans” person you should fear instead of calling a spade a spade.

Mace’s anger and fear are justified but it’s misdirected at the trans community. A bad man dressing as a woman to violate a woman in a woman’s bathroom is over the top. That’s too much effort and draws too much attention. Not saying it can’t happen, but I’d say 99.9999999% of women have not been assaulted by a trans person but by a bad man. Bad men don’t normally have to go to huge extents to assault women. Bad men just pretend to be your friend and wait till you’re in a vulnerable place, bad men carry rape drugs at the ready for a good time, bad men just show up to work, show up to the bar, show up at your house, show up at your church dressed as priests, show up to schools and soccer practices as teachers and coaches, it’s the bad man sitting next to you on a plane, it’s the customer/client who lies to you to get you away from the crowd so he can make a move, the bad man is sometimes your brother or dad who just show up in your bedroom when everyone is asleep, sometimes it’s a neighbor who watches and waits for an opportunity, sometimes it’s a stranger on the street in a crowd who violates you, sometimes it’s your own husband, etc.

So much low hanging fruit to address this problem, but instead we elect another bad man to be POTUS who has openly bragged about his SAs and runs/ran in circles with other known bad men while simultaneously nominating more bad men to run some of the most important positions in our country. Honestly, maybe that’s why she’s triggered too, knowing she’s helpless to control who’s president maybe she can control another “threat” to women no matter how small. It’s really exhausting. In the end, I’m glad McBride is not falling for the bait and is staying focused on her job at hand.

Jamie, a friend sent me this "Today in the Gap" article as a credible source related to the death of Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6, 2021. It raises "questions" heavily derived from The Blaze and alleges disinterested investigation as part of a conspiracy between police and the FBI with two allegedly unidentified eye witnesses, labeled "Frick" and "Frack." Can you offer any insight or a link/referral about how credible this article/source is? Today In The Gap isn't in the Ad Fontes media bias database. Thank you.

Great info Jamie! My boyfriend and I have been debating Gaetz's seat. Here in the real world if you resign from your job and the new job doesn't pan out you don't get to come back to the old job. So what is the possibly De Santis would appoint Gastz to his old seat?

Expand full comment

If he returns, then the he ethics committee would be duty-bound to release its report.

House vacancies aren’t temporary filled with appointments. Only Senate seats are temporary filled.

It is a bold new world we're apparently the rules don't apply any more so fair question I thought. Lol

In Florida, the governor can only appoint someone to a senator’s seat (until the next general election) so Gaetz can’t be appointed to his old seat.

What that racist fake Christian COULD do is appoint the pedophile as the Florida Senator, since Rubio will resign to be Secretary of State. And what a pitiful SoS he’ll be.

Then again, Gaetz could always run for the seat in the district he resigned from, since that campaign will begin shortly. And then the ethics report will come out if he wins. But what would the gop congressmen do with it?
