The Republicans continue to throw sand in the gears of our Democratic institutions. And we all know who that benefits: Putin. Delays in sending bills to Senate is a delaying maneuver. These people refuse to allow our government to operate normally. They are gutting it from the inside out.
I don't understand why the House hasn't sent these seven bills over to the Senate (the GOP's much-lauded energy bill was passed in the House nearly a year ago now). Sure, the Senate is led by the Dems but wouldn't it be a better look to send them over and then accuse the Dems of inaction? It's truly baffling. It just gives the Dems another campaign ad for the fall.
References to humanitarian assistance to Gaza always remind me that there is a long inland border separating Gaza and Israel but the only land openings separating the two are in the extreme North and South. There may be reasons the Eastern border is impenetrable but it seems to me humanitarian access is a good reason to open a couple of places along that land-side border.
