Without knowing anything about Turner, here is my (off the wall) theory.

Share the info broadly in order to undermine the Trump effect on GOP Russia/Ukraine support. If the populace fears Russia again, then that can neutralize this issue for the election year and support old school GOP warhawks.

It's not that off the wall.

That’s pretty genius. I feel like some of the GOP are being held hostage by TFG and his cronies so they have to think creatively to sabotage MAGA efforts. I’m thinking Nikki Haley might be another sacrificial lamb. She knows she can’t win but maybe split the vote enough and get the message out enough that TFG is a dangerous mob boss/cult leader and hopefully not win in the next election.

“This was not a win for Democrats by any measure”… MTG on the democratic win.

To be a republican is to be either a millionaire or a moron, check your bank accounts to see which one you are.

" Just so you know - this is unbelievable. I can't stress enough how crazy this is"

That's because the Republican Party in Congress is dominated by total f***** losers and their loser voters.

How's that for plain English?

And how are those 12 Budget Bills coming?

Didn’t the GOP say they wanted to debate each bill…

The Chances of Fed shutdown are thru the roof with a 2 week break…

These folks talk about people who need to work instead of just collecting benefits and ‘sitting at home’

Do the Republicans ever look in the mirror?

Most have have probably taken their mirrors down so they won’t have to 🙈 while others can’t actually see their reflections for obvious reasons 🧛🏻

When Turner was in Kyiv last week, he characterized the maneuvering over a new Ukraine aid package as “largely procedural and non-substantive debates that are occurring in Congress.” And struck what seemed like a bizarrely optimistic note when he said at a press conference:

"There’s overwhelming support in the House of Representatives and in the Senate for support for Ukraine.

"We certainly look forward to this legislative process being resolved. And I look forward to when we can return and discuss with Ukraine the manner in which they’re putting those resources to success against the Russian aggressors."

Maybe he went public about the new threat in the hope of pressuring Speaker Johnson to allow the Senate foreign aid bill to come up for a House vote.

I can't help but wonder if Nathaniel Tallmadge of NY is in anyway related to the Tallmadges of GA where his outlook seems better suited to the environment?

I agree that the paralysis is the point. Mainly because the strategy has been deployed at the local level with school boards to overwhelm with bureaucratic paperwork over books etc. It is a step in the dismantle-it-all libertarian strategy.

I think you're on to something.
