I went to the Haley event in N. Charleston SC last night. It was a highly energized crowd...She stayed for at least 45 minutes after participating in selfies with anyone who wanted one and signing signs, etc. One interesting thing...As I was going into the gathering one of a group of boisterous Trump supporters chose to follow me while carrying a flag that he seemed to want to put in my face which would have been a mistake for him. I don't understand why someone thinks that harassing someone will make them want to support their candidate. LOL...I came home and sent Nikki another donation...I guess that I will be out of MAGA Camp which I was never in to begin with but that is ok...I am not going to invite him to my birthday. #PlaygroundLogic

But…in all the Lake recordings released…airport, this one…she has the hot mic. It’s ON HER.
She is setting them up. Therefore, her responses are contrived for the audience she intends to leak it to. “Look at me, I’m ethical”.
Her questions are designed to elicit a specific response.
If reporting is accurate, this one was 10 months ago. Why the leak now? I don’t have the answer. But i do know the iPhone, mic, whatever was on her person.
Would love to know what she recorded with Trump. Then again, maybe not.

I love reading about Haley getting assertive. But I feel like I will end up disappointed when her domino falls just like the rest. I hope she keeps up the fight through Super Tuesday.
MISSING BILLS – Does the Senate have any way around the refusal of the House to forward these bills that have passed? It’s frustrating that House members keep blaming the Senate for inaction, when they KNOW they’ve given the Senate nothing to act on. Seriously, can Schumer just walk over to the House clerk’s office and say “Hey I’m here to pick up some missing bills?” I wish they’d at least be louder in pushing back on these claims. Grrr.
They count on the general populace's ignorance--I would have wondered, for instance (done some research and figured out the ploy, but I would have wondered).
Maybe, if the House wants to change the rules higgledy-piggledy, Senate should accept it--only Schumer should declare he will choose and bring forward solely the bills proposed that Democrats want to pass. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. We just have to make the threat.
I think there are Constitutional reasons preventing informal contacts among the branches of government. It's no secret that endless informal conversations are inevitable but without a formal setting any results would be subject to invalidation by (in this case) the Judicial or Executive branches.
Jamie, have any reporters or senators for that matter outright challenged/called out Johnson’s false claims about the senate sitting on bills. Like to his face I mean? Or on camera?
I genuinely don't get the parties' fluid stances on certainly issues. Republicans are supposed to be all "spend money wisely" while Democrats are "buy USA union made stuff" no matter what. I get both points of view. They are perfectly valid. But the Biden admin wants foreign made chargers and Republicans want to force USA made chargers. They switched positions for this gear.
Have the Feds looked at credits for homeowners and apartment complexes to install chargers? Charging overnight is much better on the grid than during the day.
I appreciate you mentioning Haley is not that far behind in delegates. It seems that everyone is wanting to call the primary after 2 states? I know the odds don’t look good, but there seems to be this aggressive push to take this out of the remaining voters hands. A lot can happen in a month or two.
Additionally, I feel like threatening the donors of someone else’s campaign has got to be against election law in some way?? If not it should be? I get the threat is essentially you can’t be on our team anymore which is fairly lame, but it seems odd to be able to attempt to cut off a rivals funding by threat.
