One thing that stood out about McConnell’s second on-camera medical incident Wednesday? His staff did not seem surprised. If this has happened twice on-camera in five weeks you can bet it’s happening more frequently in private. Yet it appears McConnell is intent on dying in office.
Speaking of, it appears 45 is poised to once risk the lives of his brainwashed supporters as COVID rates inch back up by turning a public health risk into a polarizing political weapon. He seems to forget the Dems will get their boosters, will wear a mask and will be at the polls. How many more of his supporters does he want to kill with this nonsense?
I don't understand how it helps Republicans, either. If Democrats had 75 votes in the Senate, then maybe I could understand it. But nothing is getting passed by the Senate unless is can get by a filibuster. And the Senate is not going to pass some giant tax increase anytime soon.
Maybe it's because the Freedom Caucus is at odds with Senate Republicans. Maybe there's something that 75% of the Senate would agree on that McCarthy doesn't want to let them do. But eventually, the bills have to go to the Senate. I don't understand how a delay changes anything. Except to possibly leave us in a shutdown.
If the GOP wants to pay people $1 they should pass a law that any boss can do that. It should be legal that you get rid of any employee you disagree with by dropping their salary to $1. This would include Congress. If your party is not in control you get your salary reduced to $1. Ensuring that only Billionaires will serve, they way God intended.
"It's clear that McConnell has lost a step since he took a bad fall back in March" - and had the truth been told that he suffered a traumatic brain injury instead of a 'concussion' then all this would be more understandable. But in the world of Republicans, again, you must lie about absolutely everything no matter what the significance or subject.
Is it possible that the bills were passed over the freedom caucus objections, and they pressured McCarthy not to send to Senate so the bills wouldn’t pass?
And aren’t votes on House bills public record? Or were these secret votes that even someone like you weren’t aware of?

Thanks for the reporting and explanation of the missing bills. Not gonna lie, though - I don't fully understand how it benefits the GOP.

Does it make any sense that they could be waiting until closer to the election to make these election issues?
Paranoia.

After watching the McConnell freeze, I think we have found the ‘trigger question’
Senator, do you plan to run for re-election in 2026

Those with traumatic brain injuries are required to be a republican leader.
