It was interesting how the Russian fake news media campaign indictment story immediately brought out the low information voters on Mr. Dupree’s FB page. All accusing him of becoming liberal in his reporting just for telling them what’s happening. It underscores just how effective the Russian influence campaign has been with these folks.
I’d wager a few more brainwashed 70-year-old gynecologists will receive prison sentences before 45 is done too.
Just like Iran helping Harris look better. They have no control over that. People have to consider all sources and take all info into consideration. Everyone writes with a bias. I may not be intentional but humans feel and believe a certain way. It will be a part of their reporting.
On yesterday's topic of veteran support & their breaking point...
The support of Trump by the military gets interesting when you break down active duty vs veterans. His support among active duty took a major nosedive from 2016 to 2020. With talking points like Trump "rebuilt the military" or "he didn't get us into any major wars," you'd expect his support to stay level or increase. But reality tells a different story.
When you compare his 2020 numbers to those of Obama's, it's even more stark considering the talking points. Or when you break it down by male vs female. And officer vs enlisted.
I'd love to see Trump's support by veterans broken down more -- age, years of service, when they served, etc. I'm surprised no one has done this because I'd bet those numbers tell a very different story than more general support for him.
(We're a 20-year Army family, both as enlisted & officer, who retired last year. My husband became more liberal as he served, most notably after a stint they did with the Arizona border patrol and his last Afghanistan deployment.)
"The application also must include a statement that specifies each eligibility requirement (including citizenship), contain an attestation that the applicant meets each such requirement and require the signature of the applicant under penalty of perjury."
I like the footnote of history today. It’s interesting to think that they were thinking ahead like that. Smart. I’m going to go read more about that congressman.
One thing which also happened on the same day - as the war was over and Congress was back - was that Republicans immediately called for a full public investigation about Pearl Harbor. It resulted in a Congressional probe which was tinged with politics.
1. Was the Afghanistan withdrawal a setup by trump, knowing he’d be out of office, so he made it impossible for a real timeline and a safe workable plan?
2. Didn’t Speaker Johnson already release all of the J6 tapes, after he blurred out every face, like he said he would?
3. Is Harris really a communist, and a marxist, a socialist AND a fascist? trump keeps saying this, and literally all of his cultists believe it, but is it possibly true?
How is it possible that this convict can speak for an hour at the Economic Club of NY and not say one true thing, and not have every single media source call him out for every god damn lie?
And why do his idiot magats accept being lied to?
It’s disgusting to let him spew such lies, such division, such hate, such nazi propaganda.
The RFK brief sounds like it was written by AI and pulled in another Kennedy or two. Lololol.
I hadn't thought of AI. I bet you're right.

NPR noted that very point a few hours ago.

How do you feel when he says that not one soldier died on his watch, when in reality dozens died in Afghanistan when he was C in C?
As my kids say, "Liars are gonna' lie." I hate to just shrug my shoulders at all of his lies but...
OTOH, when he badmouths military, the ANC situation, all of that fires me up quicker than just about any else.
When I registered to vote in Georgia in 1978, I had to provide evidence of citizenship.
Nothing but performative crap for the rubes who swallow this hook line & sinker

I’m not familiar with that, it it sounds like a great topic to assign my homeschooled teen who’s studying WW2 next month.
