It's the growing power of artificial intelligence. The power of AI voice generation has grown dramatically since my Jamie 2.0 voice was created in 2017.
I was just about to launch my own comment and saw I was late to the party, so I'll just join in: 3.0 sounds amazing - I hope it is a blessing and a useful tool for you!
I didn’t watch Biden’s address last evening so this gave me a chuckle: The President made sure to use his main foil from Fox News, Peter Doocy, as part of his response to the Special Counsel's report. "How bad is your memory and can you continue as President?" Doocy asked. "My memory is so bad I let you speak," Biden replied.
Dems will no doubt spend a lot of time wringing their hands over this (their specialty). But ultimately, this report might prove a lot more damaging to Biden if the GOP had any intention whatsoever to run someone besides 45.
I'd even go a step further and say it muddies the idea of using a poor memory defense for 45 when that finally goes to trial. Apparently the opposite of willful is feeble for these two.
I teared up hearing you! I've been following you for many, many (many) years, and it was wonderful to hear your voice again.
Thanks for being the voice of sanity in these insane times. I subscribe because you're the only one who tells us what's happening without a (not so) hidden agenda.
Jamie 3.0 was a gem to find in the newsletter this morning! I'm a huge podcast fan, so I'd be all in you develop more content there too. But it's also a lot of production, so I understand if the time constraints of covering Congress with all the shifting news means podcasts are at risk of being quickly out of date.
Great quote from the Speaker about the documents. Lol.
Thanks Ken. It certainly is an improvement, and this technology will only get better. It would be better to have my real voice work correctly, but you do what you can.
I agree with everyone else, 3.0 really sounds like you, Jamie! I have other Substack subscriptions but you are the true “fair and balanced” reporter! (A phrase that Fox News misused in the past.)
If I hadn't known this was Jamie 3.0 and was just listening casually, I don't think that I would have known it wasn't you. It's good to hear "you" again!
And although what Sen. Lankford said is in no way surprising, it is disheartening. When you decide to retire, I'm not sure that there will be many actual journalists left.
Good to hear your voice again! Good luck with 3.0.

Glad 3.0 is working! I hope it keeps working!
Nice surprise this morning indeed.
Thanks very much.

They don’t.
You make a very good point. Both sides are armed with plenty of video and audio evidence of gaffes and verbal mistakes.
I'd even go a step further and say it muddies the idea of using a poor memory defense for 45 when that finally goes to trial. Apparently the opposite of willful is feeble for these two.
Dear Jamie,
SO wonderful to hear your voice again! That literally brought tears to my eyes.
I hope you and your family are well, and that 30 is useful to you in every day life and not just work.
I agree that Lankford's speech was worth listening to, but even better was being able to listen to you again.

Thank you very much, Marci. Thanks for sticking with me through all of the ups and downs of life.

3.0 sounds GREAT! It really sounds like the Jamie I used to listen to on WSB many years ago. Congratulations!
Thanks Ken. It certainly is an improvement, and this technology will only get better. It would be better to have my real voice work correctly, but you do what you can.
Congratulations on Jamie 3.0. Does this mean there really is a podcast in your future?
I'm not so sure about that, but I did want to see how well it could work, especially with AI taking big steps ahead on voice generation.
It will be interesting to see which justice writes the majority opinion in the Colorado case. It was good to hear your voice Jamie.
Thanks Henry. I wonder if it might be a Per Curiam opinion, with maybe one concurrence that reads like a minority.

Jamie Dupree 3.0 rocks!
Felt like I was listening to a WSB news report from days gone by. So great to hear your voice.
The power of AI is really something. Pretty soon, we won't be sure whether we are really talking to a real person or not.
Yay Jamie!!! It was so good to hear your voice again.
Thanks Yvonne. It was pretty nice to hear it. It's been almost 8 years now. Just nuts.

Thanks so much Christy. I really appreciate your nice note.
LOVE hearing your 3.0 voice. Sounds great.
Voice sounds great to me. I thought I was listening to an old WSB radio broadcast.
Congratulations Jamie! This has been a long time coming! I’m sure there’s more to go but it is great to hear you again!!
