“just tell voters, you decide - it's up to you.” Sure sounds like each citizen should have the right to decide for themselves without government intervention. What in interesting idea.

Democrats need to start running political ads with state legislators propounding their basic ignorance of female anatomy--claiming women give birth through their urinary track, that a woman won't get pregnant unless she enjoys the rape, that a 12-year-old who gets pregnant after her father abuses her must give birth. So many delightful moments that really do need to be shared generously with the American population.

Then scroll a list of the state legislation over a map showing how pregnant women from so many red states are now forced to travel hundreds of miles for basic health care, wind it up with Trump saying it should be left to the states, and final snapshots of SCOTUS conservative Justices gloating about the Dobbs decision. Point being, it wasn't left to the States before and most certainly will not be again when SCOTUS decides to shut down on Mifepristone through the Comstock act.

I now have the impression there are an awful lot of J6 insurrectionists from Maine still dribbling in...is there an accounting of which states these people who violently assaulted our Capitol came from? If so, did Texas win the ignominious first place for highest number of insurrectionists, or Maine?

The Dems should also run ads with video of the most vicious J6 rioters and Trump pledging to pardon them. Maybe throw in some of the rioters saying they did it because Trump told them to.

Seersucker Thursday destroyed any modicum of support I would have for a pay raise.

I kind of like that they have it. It is a workplace, and workplaces are more fun if you have some silly or fun stuff along the way.

I agree. It is a bad look for Thomas. But the question is as anything for Harlan Crow come before the Supreme Court. If not, then is there really a problem. If congress ethics are so tough, why as nothing been done about the senator from New Jersey.

Two thoughts this morning...

>> The Dobbs decision triggered a surge of interest in family planning and contraception. Extremists going after mifepristone and IVF makes me wonder if IUDs will be next on the list. Come to think of it, will they next want to make condoms illegal?

>> Trump's enthusiasm about tariffs reminds me of the three-minute discussion of economics which aired on today's Morning Edition. Give it a listen.
