I see people hitting the like button for today's post, so I know you are seeing this post. My own Regular Order email did not show up in my inbox today, which is the first time that's happened to me.

I got one at 5:12, the same one at 7:15… but the second one had no buttons to like it comment.

Thanks. I got the second one, but not the first. Sorry to spam some of you.

Same two at same times for me Steve.

Mine arrived in my in box on time at 5:14 am. But since I have multiple subscriptions on SS now, I also have the app and it sends a notification when fresh content is posted. That’s usually what I click these days.

I got my email too @5:12 am ET and the follow up a@7:15 am so it seems to be working on this front , but lots of things have been a bit glitchy lately so better to be safe. Thanks for thinking of us Jamie.

The republicans really got beat bad on that Hur hearing, the obvious hypocrisy of beating up on Biden for his memory & classified doc boxes locations proved what filth they are. Railing against Biden for fairly minor infractions while their fuhrer stole, lied, hid, covered up, and literally forced a search warrant shows how much they’ll let trump off for anything like the good nazis they are.

Plus, whining that the transcript was made public was hilarious! Literally complaining that the unvarnished truth was available really passed off those magats.

Oh, and how Biden couldn’t remember when his son died? A despicable lie.

But I did enjoy how the dems showed that pig not being able to remember when he was married, the people he hired… and even how he claimed he had the best memory in the world.

I would much rather receive the Regular Order twice than not at all! Keep 'em coming, Jamie!

Question: if the house members are an even number, and there’s a tie… who breaks it? The senate has the Vice President, so what are the rules? Do over? Coin toss?

Expand full comment

In the House it’s the Speaker who breaks the tie. The Speaker only votes when there is a tie.

It started out that way where the Speaker can break a tie. But the House evolved to where the Speaker only voted on important items, like big bills. That is, until Speaker Johnson. He votes on just about everything, which is definitely a change of pace.

"I think this place is dysfunctional," as Buck said Congress is now dominated by ‘bickering and nonsense.’

HOLY SHIT - a Republican who told the truth! Wait, Ken, don't leave! You're one of a kind!

Color me surprised. The House passed the bill requiring TikTok be sold to a U.S. company 352-65. Voting against were 50 Democrats and 15 Republicans.

So Fetterman is taller by a hair despite not having hair. (Sorry, couldn't find a witty way of spinning it.)

I take it that Buck won't be one of the GOP representatives heading out to the Greenbriar to spend time together. But it is hard to believe that they dislike each other so much as to not get a free trip to a resort. There again, it is winter in WV, so maybe they should have picked Miami.

So if Boebert were able to snag Buck's seat in the special election, that would still be a net loss as her seat would have to then be vacated?!?

Exactly! She just said today that she does not plan to run in the special election. We'll see who the party decides to pick, because if it is one of her main opponents in November, then that person will be an incumbent as well.
