The strained expression on the speaker’s face in that selfie with MTG says it all. LOL. It’s beyond ridiculous that he still doesn’t have a game plan in place for a vote on aid to Ukraine. Then again, if just a few more of his colleagues flee for the exits due to his dysfunction, Speaker Jeffries could get the job done.
Americans remain more open to an independent presidential run and hungrier for unifying national leadership than ever before" - which is why your group has been renamed No Candidate,, right? I often run political stuff past my non-political junkie wife who I'd describe as average voter (watches network TV news, reads some stuff on her phone, not a news addict, shows up to vote reliably) what she thought about No Labels demise and she said .... "Who is that?" So much for remaining open to an independent presidential run, I guess.
You put your finger on an important point. Many people voting in November are still going about their daily lives, vaguely aware that something or other is going on in the political arena -- just as there are earthquakes somewhere in the world, somebody on Wheel of Fortune hit a big jackpot and the grocery bill keeps going up. For them politics is like the twice yearly time changes we notice a few days then get on with everyday life.
We "political junkies" do what we can to stay informed but unless something dramatic happens in the days and weeks just prior to election season, we are still just guessing. hoping whatever teams we support -- local, state and national -- will be winners.

It only takes a few people to be sick to make the GOP into a minority.
1. Is it me, or does McGuire look two dimensional in that pic with Trump?
2. Jamie, I'm sorry you're having to ask for beer instead of coffee so early in the election year. Maybe ask good scotch or whiskey by September?
That McGuire photo was probably taken with the camera zoomed way out. And yes, by September, I will need bottles of George Dickel
No Labels BLUF - no worthy moderate is willing to alienate their home party and abandon home party money for an independent / third party run.

Ross Perot wasn't that long ago, eh?
