I usually try to perform searches regarding the potential consequences of my actions *before* I engage in them. What a DA.

Actually, this kind of thing has been a common theme for a number of Jan. 6 participants. It is quite dumb.

I read somewhere else, but not from a traditional news source, that there were some "other" items in the budget bill that passed. Two notable were something about never allowing the US to move our embassy in Israeli back to Tel Aviv. And also that Pride flags could never be flown at any US embassy around the world. Any truth to such news? Were you able to spot any other unique issues in that budget legislation that passed? Thank you, Jamie!

Why such a big discrepancy between the legislative, judicial and executive budgets? Where does 1.7 trillion go there??

When you factor in extra defense related spending, over half of the $1.7 trillion goes to the Pentagon. The rest goes to fund the various federal agencies and departments. Just a reminder, you could cut out the entire Pentagon and not come close to balancing the budget.

I was surprised to hear on the Sunday shows about Johnson’s alleged shift about aid for Ukraine. I thought he was dead set against it. Did I miss something or is this a new narrative they’re trotting out? And is it because the speaker might well need Dem votes if/when MTG tries to remove him?

The thing is - Johnson has never really said he was against it or for it, just that he wouldn't act on it until after the funding bills were finished. In the past, Johnson has been a supporter of aid for Ukraine, but that's now become problematic for a GOP leader obviously. And you are correct, it could certainly be another reason for MTG et al to argue for his removal.
