Since today is a holiday I have is a listening recommendation for readers that was a pleasant surprise for me. Politically Georgia discussions are among my daily habits, and today's program is a replay of a previous program which opens with Senator Jon Ossoff. The whole program is good but the opening segment and brief discussion is exceptional. This guy is remarkably focused and clear-thinking.

Re: Trump having smaller moderated events rather than rallies. Does anyone else think that’s odd since Harris-Walz are having these big capacity rallies? He’s all about his rally numbers, after all. Also, it was strange that he walked into last week’s smaller town hall not knowing the event was a town hall. After eight years and three runs, his campaign should be a well-oiled machine at this point. But it isn’t.

Trump only has one rally on his schedule for this week - that's on Saturday. But I'm sure there will be events in the interim, yet his campaign doesn't list them.

The interesting thing about the Arlington visit for Trump is all he had to do was simply show up and state he was there with the families (no photos or one simply showing he was there; not the smiling thumbs up) and it would’ve worked like a charm.

I have noticed there are more stories about “confrontations” between Trump’s campaign staff and anyone else. Not just verbal, but also physical (in Georgia at a campaign office). His campaign is full of devoted believers. This is only going to lead to a large dumpster fire. God I hope it doesn’t burn the whole country down with it.

Also, can we get the quote on an ad about pro-choice abortion?

"Someone should not be a criminal in Florida, when this is legal in so many other States," Trump wrote.

So when the Senate gets back in town how long will it take the Democrats to either reconsider the IVF Bill, or refile it to get another vote?

Schumer can go to it at any time. I would certainly look for them to bring it up. But also remember this - the Congress will only be back for 3 weeks (unless there's a shutdown).

… checking betting odds on government shutdown and comparing to winning lottery…

Hmm...

A government shutdown would make an incumbent president look really bad. I wonder how many elected representatives in *both* parties have given that possibility serious thought.

So trips to a foreign country mean you're an agent for them? How many times have some of these GOP trolls been to Russia? Or met with their honeypots in the USA? Lol.

Ok Jamie, you’re a rail bird. If you were betting right now on the election winner, who would you have? I see a bunch of negative news on this news letter but hardly nothing on the other side. I’m a never Trumper and would vote for a beagle before I would vote for him but lately this newsletter is all about one side. Reading it, you would think Harris is gonna win going away. Is that reality?

Hi Coach. I certainly don't feel like I'm writing a newsletter which indicates that Harris going to win going away - and I wouldn't forecast that at all. Why is there hardly anything about Harris? Well, she hasn't been doing crazy stuff almost daily for the last few weeks. She had two days of campaign stops last week in Georgia and a CNN interview - and hardly made any news in the process. As I wrote over the weekend, I think that's by design.

I agree. And I, for one, find it refreshing that she's not giving oxygen to MAGA madness. Those people and their avatar inhabit a universe alien to decency.
