In sentencing briefs, Portlock’s lawyers acknowledged the backlash it caused their client. "As a result of his involvement in the January 6 riot, his arrest thereafter, and the publicity this case garnered in the community, Mr. Portlock lost a lucrative career at Mitsubishi Motors." - to which we all should say tough shit, loser.

Re: Last night, the Rules Committee was unable to move forward on a border security bill put forward by the Speaker - because of GOP opposition. That is the Speaker’s committee!!

Wait, what?? If this is the new baseline for behavior in the U.S. House, it’s difficult to imagine what a potential Saturday night vote is going to look like. C-SPAN could resemble a WWE match with metal folding chairs.

I guess Speaker Johnson had a come to Jesus moment about UKR. And it will cost him his job. But unlike McCarthy, I don’t think this his dream job and he’s not willing to sacrifice the world to please Marge.

Thanks again to Jamie for pointing me to Patricia & Greg so i can follow the craziness in Georgia. Seems Republicans don’t like the party picking candidates versus the voters. Crazy Caucus has a stranglehold everywhere!

Speaker Johnson does not seem comfortable. First, he was speaker because it was God’s will, then he traveled to Mar-a-largo to kiss the ring and now he is a Regan Republican. What’s next Goldwater?
