I went down the rabbit hole trying to understand why we needed $3M for molasses inspections. Google “stuffed molasses”. It’s a way of circumventing sugar import rules and harms US sugar farmers. I’m guessing inspections are necessary to ensure importers are complying with trade agreements. Not saying I agree or disagree, just trying to understand what it’s about.
Moskowitz did the right thing for so many reasons! First of all, his family and friends in South Florida would disown him. Trust me. He comes from a huge Democrat background. Plus, who would want to be part of the chaos of the incoming administration? And, knowing Trump, there's no guarantee you'd keep your job for long. He is also the perfect pitbull to go after MAGA types on the Hill. I love watching his comments during hearings. He really knows how to make his points. Definitely an up-and-comer in the Democratic Party.
"You could sense the extreme GOP frustration" - they're the majority in the House. They have created this mess they are frustrated with. I guess they're just a bunch of incompetent losers elected by morons (certainly for my Congressman, Tm Burchett, that's most definitely the case). I could be wrong, as I said - just a guess.
I think Pelosi is wrong to oppose AOC, who has learned a lot since she was first elected, is smart, and works hard. Not to mention, she's not being treated for cancer.
But I can't help but admire her grit (although not her footwear choices) in taking the photo before getting help for a freaking broken hip! And I'm proud as a Texan that McCaul helped her.
1. Molasses testing needs some digging. Are US Sugar lobbyists behind it? Is there a risk of it being corn syrup instead of molasses? Or is it a contamination concern?
I'm sorry. I'm going to state the obvious. If congress had done it's job and passed the budget on time, they would have to worry about omnibus Christmas gifts.
I don't want to be the word police, but don't use the word budget about Congress. They didn't pass the spending bills on time. The budget is a non-binding document.

Thank you Denise! I knew there had to be a US protectionism reason.

2. OnlyFans comment was gold.
3. Glad your phone wasn't damaged!
4. Thank you for followup on ERA.
Jamie, I'd love to hear the audio of the phone fumble!

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.
Things really do stay the same!
Regarding the CR, I just crafted a CSPAN clip that this group will appreciate, thanks to the Washington Journal X account.
